Mowing content

All is calm.

The only sounds are that of the wind in the trees and distant lawn mowers.

Yes, actual roaring petrol engine lawn mowers. Makes me deeply appreciate that 1: I am not the one needing to haul that thing around my yard, and 2: how quiet and unintrusive our little robot is.

However, I still filled up my house-type work ring for today pouring some energy and sweat into lawn mowing, by doing yet another adjustment of part of the guide cable, allowing the mower to cover even more surface and eliminating some relatively large areas we had forced ourselves to trim manually. I am always a bit worried about managing to break the cable, especially at the start of any operation, but this time the feeling quickly passed. As has become my habit, I dug the cable down rather than pegging it to the ground, and so ended up with even more leftover pegs in the garage.

I wonder how many I actually still have in the ground at this point?

I think I was using 150 to 200 at the peak. I would not be suprised at all if at this point less than 50 are still in use.

Is there a market for used lawnmower guide cable pegs?

All is calm.

Now, how do I best spend such calm time?
