Jodå, lite har jag ju lekt med Erlang, men det var inte direkt igår. Snarare ungefär ett år sedan ...

I alla fall, det kändes rätt trevligt. Ganska annorlunda mot alla andra språk jag jobbat med, men ändå greppbart på något sätt. Språket känns rimligast att ha till att göra serverapplikationer av olika slag, och det största hindret är väl egentligen omställningen jämfört med andra språk. Samt att verktygen kanske inte är de mest utbyggda jämfört med Java och liknande ...

Du har väl lekt lite med Erlang? Det verkar tydligen användas mer än vad iaf jag trodde :P

Gradual improvements

Better indeed, I think you have to consider things good enough when the limitation is the quality of the source material ...

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the preview is a bit broken, it probably ended up that way during my last bout of site cleanups. I'd better write that down somewhere so someone can fix it as soon as possible.

There.

It's still a very ugly logo though ...

And I have a small annoying problem in that both Telia and Tele2 use the same 3G-network with the same ID (Sweden 3G, 24005), so the phone displays TELIA-logo when connected to Tele2 3G-net ... Not sure if it can be solved in any good way, still keeping the ability to change carrier without having to alter the symlinks ...

And in this new year, no longer my phone needs to be tied down to a single operator! :-)

iPhone running Comviq-Tele2 in sweden

Now I just have to create a carrier-bundle for Comviq so I can get a fancy image-logo and correct settings for data all applied automatically.

(btw, is it just me or is the Preview-feature here a bit broken?)

RSS-troubles

The RSS has been broken for me before when some "naughty characters" like åäö was in the RSS title. Hasn't been a problem lately, Thunderbird doesn't seem to care.

Surprising content

This site surprised me today by suddenly showing ten new entries in NewsFire ... That's two weeks worth of postings, completely unread by me.

I have no idea why, but there might have been something in the post made eleven posts ago that made the XML-file invalid, and that it was finally pushed of today?

The danger of using and relying too much on RSS to tell you things, instead of just regularly visiting the sites, is that if a stream is broken, I miss things out. And the software doesn't tell me. Unless I read the logs of course.

Anyway, it was nice reading about it all. And congratulations on getting the iPod Touch ...

I have been somewhat in the same trails lately, but I always opted for the version with the phone in ... that iPhone thing. I have been this close to actually buying it on several occasions, and if you could see me, you'd see that I was holding my my thumb and index finger at mere millimiters from each other, actually bidding on quite a few on ebay too ... all of them I ended up loosing by 10 dollars, because I apparently do listen to the voice of reason every now and then.

I do want the phone ... but at the same time ... how can I possibly get by on only 16GB of storage? And no high speed data when I am outside? And I do have a perfectly smart phone already ... or so they tell me.

Ah, well ... one day.

Apple, just get the 32GB iPhone with UMTS and HSDPA out and I will buy. I will not be able to refuse ... how can I ...

So this is what bjoreman.com looks like in Safari touch. Not too bad, except for the lower blue bar being stuck at the bottom of the first page's worth of content. Bet I can fix that somehow ... later ...
